Not Painted"".

I remember the outcry when one player took an empire army made out of lego. Every model was recognisable as what it was and was on the correct bases and even multiple colours. But they and their corresponding terrain were made out of lego.

Narren Zade won one of the US tournaments with a Brettonian list featuring a grail death star and 5 Pegasus knights. The army was all made out of my little ponies. That garnered him a lot of Kudos for winning with brettonians and a lot of hate mail for stealing MLPs from 5 year old girls. Agedain the models were all coloured and mounted on the right bases so game leagal.

Both these examples tend to be regarded as not warhammer.

Warmachine has even stricter entry rules where each model have to be at least 50% of the correct privateer press model. Fantasy is permissive in encouraging conversions and use of alternate models. But some people will always find a way to abuse the rules.

That's where better TO rules or peer comp and sportsmanship would have shot that army down or if painting was included in the score rather than just a minimum to scrape by.

But the peer judged comp and game enjoyment might be a Pandora's box too farJohn Tailbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10518208348459114267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2342928539214422457.post-21330179140009873272015-01-18T01:41:43.635+13:002015-01-18T01:41:43.635+13:00This is why 3 colour minimum should never be appli...This is why 3 colour minimum should never be applied to fantasy, in most cases the models are too complex for that to work. It might work on space marines, where the bulk of the model is a single colour but nothing in fantasy is like that, even Chaos Warriors.Tanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00111345902716591780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2342928539214422457.post-23943443134109294072015-01-17T23:23:53.880+13:002015-01-17T23:23:53.880+13:00That is a ridiculous unit. Good on him for spotting and exploiting that.

However I know as a TO I'd be very uncomfortable with the presentation of the army. It wouldn't pass the hurdle that I'd expect players to attain.

The army this player used at the ETC this year - daemons comprising plastic insects - also attracted some notoriety. Not only does he submit the most bring list with the most boring tactics, he cannot even be bothered to paint his army.
He really seems to be taking the piss at everyone else's expense. Everybody paid for the privilege of playing a "game" against this.
The only possible good thing is that you wouldn't have to look at the army as it all hides inside the folding tower, but then you have to look at the tower which is probably a crap bit of cardboard going by the rest of it.
Who the hell tried to make a game of it a rush the tower giving him the win?
