Warhammer Magic Goes Batshit Crazy!

Ok the latest tidbit stalking the net ahead of the End Times: Khaine release:


Magic is now 4d6. No generating spells, you know ALL of the lore, regardless of level. Nagash will know every lore he has access to, for  example. Wizard levels only helps with casting/dispelling now.


Now I'm not sure this is real but if it does, well let's say there is an awful lot of Obsidian about to be mined and turned into charm bracelets.


All I can say is Horrors of Tzeentch look an awfully good buy. Finally :-)

    My hope these are scenario only rules like Chaos Ascendant.

      I think Warlocks have designated spells. Not like my 100 Blue Waffles

      Yip Pink horrors would know all tzeentch spells, nothing like 4 infernal gateway spells a turn ;)

      Or an Empire army with 4 light wizards blasting out 4 banishment spells a turn ;)

    Morathi can also slect spells from multiple lores at once. So she would be lore mistress of dark death and shadow.
    So it sounds like GW are releasing storm of magic type rules into the end times.

    The phrase "it's getting a bit ridiculous" springs to mind if above rumour proves to be true...

    As if magic phases don't take long enough already... (but it's okay... you decide what spells you are gonna actually choose to cast this turn and try to be done by the time I finish my smoke break - there is always an upside!).

      Hmm. Well I guess it is "fluffy" given the winds of magic are blowing "that" strong... and ups the chances of miscasts.

      For myself though... a "scrum" in the middle of the battlefield is always more enjoyable than a "hey lets throw dice at each other instead" ...

    I think this is a reason to ignore end times and jut buy models from your favourite range.
