WoC Question

The #1 Spell in the Tzeentch deck is Treason.

It is a hex that says the target must use the lowest Leadership value in the unit.

Interested how this will be interpreted for cavalry and other mounted models.

I have a strong inkling what they probably intended but I know how RAW reads.

  1. Well it seems pretty clear cut rules wise whether they intended or not. GWs usual way is to go by RAW even when they clearly screw something up

  2. I foresee a lot of arguments about this in the future. . .

    1. But it also says, rules in Army Books override those in the rulebook

  4. It says that you don't use it unless a special rule specifically says otherwise. So the big question is whether "use the lowest leadership" is a special rule that specifically says otherwise. In the meantime I sure won't be using it.

  5. Given the "crumble" FAQ, I'd be expecting to have to wear the RAW ruling, until proven otherwise....Poor Brets :-)

  6. Given the lolz that the lore of tzeench is (seriously-flaming named spells that are not flaming...gleaning fireballs that are not flaming, gleaning searing doom that does nothing etc...spells that have the ability to do not much other than give the unit a regen save etc) I dont think it is going to come up much.

Either way there is an obvious RAI that no one will apply given the Slaughtermaster "we didnt intend it, but woops! you can keep your armoured mages" debarcle = ldshp 5 horses FTW.

    1. Tzeentch spells have always been flaming without flaming. See the 5th(?) ed book for that one.

I still think its an ok lore. Just the key will be to not target units that get any real benefit from the Regen, or make sure they'll be dead so the regen doesn't matter...

  7. They really screwed the pooch with this latest Lore of Tzeentch. It's probably the worst lore they've written in years - Warpflame is without a doubt the stupidest rule ever.

All that they need to do to fix this lore it so make attacks that cause Warpflame to also count as flaming attacks - then I'd play around with the lore on a for-fun basis.

  8. yea in my opinion the lore of slaanesh is now realy quite strong, some nice moves in their, the ASL and random move D6 spells are amazing and at such a low casting cost for the whole list. a daemon prince with it would be amazing, with a chance of boosting his attacks too. also chosen the warshrine is very very useful now. throwing an extra die and picking your reward combo is very nice (chosen rolling 4 at the start of the game and choosing which two to use :D)
