FAQs for Ogres, Skaven and Tomb Kings

Big day for FAQs from GW.

They released the initial Ogre Kingdoms FAQ and then superseded it an hour later. In the amended version Jervois Johnson says that you can take armour on OK Mages but it is not in the spirit of his intentions!!!!!!

Seriously WTF does that mean!!!! What a pathetic answer.

As far as I'm concerned that means that you play by the rules - yes to magic armour - not some weasel words that portray a  lack of decision-making. How hard is it? Really?

Lot's of changes in the Skaven FAQ. I'll go through them later but you can read them here

  1. Yep totally agree with you on this Pete. Was Jervis out voted on the rulling???Buggered if i know.

Its a real cop-out IMO that make players that do take the combo look like total wankers and will be up for a sports hit if they do so.

  2. Can't really sports hit them, they're just playing by the rules, and may have no real feelings about whether they're going against the hopes and dreams of Jervis. But yeah, looks feeble to me.

  3. @Chaoswolf.You maynot hit players sports scores and i maynot hit players sport scores, but there a plenty who will because of Jervis's weak arsed comment. The fucker just should have shut his hole and left it at that

  4. I don't like the magic armour on Slaughtermaster rule; together with the GW errata, it makes it even more unlikely that Tyrants will be taken.

But if that's the rule, then that's the way it goes. If my opponent's Slaughtermaster has the Armour of Awesome Magical Protection, I won't complain, because it's legal (I do reserve the right to grumble about Ironblasters, but I play Dwarves, what do you expect?). The note added by Jervis Johnson is weak, stupid and counter-productive.

The Skaven errata is a good one, for non-Skaven at least. Looking forward to cannoning that Plague Furnace now.....

  5. As has been pointed out elsewhere, the real nasty change is the greedy fist working on ranged attacks. Coupled with death magic, either Caress or Fate will likely strip all of the levels of magic off any mage they hit

  6. Disapointed with the Ironfist ruling. It goes against all writen fluff, and commonsence. Its a real kick in the guts (pun intended) to all the other races that dont get access to magic armour. An Orge slaughtermaster already gets wounds recovered and a high T/W count, with this they become arguably the most survivable casters in WHFB. I guess there is still the option of local tourneys making an army specific rule that they cannot take it.
