FOB NZ Rankings Updated for Equinox

Both the Warhammer 40K and Fantasy rankings have been updated with the Equinox results.

In Fantasy Dan Butler comes straight back to #2 and Antony Kitson pushes into the Top 10 (and is the DILF's Best Player). No icons changed hands but surely it is only a matter of time before Dan prises the Warriors icon off his Wolfpack teammate, Ross Hillier Jones.

The most loosely held icon is the Dark Elf one where Sam Whitt has only two results. A concerted push by the other Dark Elf bandwagoners will see it move. For mine the best battle is that between Phil Wu and Peter Williamson for the High Elf tiara. I can see that changing hands a few times over the year.

In 40k, Chris Ward continues to hold the #1 ranking. However there are now a lot more people having played the requisite three events to be fully ranked. A glance at the Army Rankings reflects the common world view - Eldar, Tau and Daemons are the top three.

Big thanks to the respective TOs for getting the results up so quick.

  1. And way down the table for, those that can be bothered to look down that far, is another hotly contested icon - the prestigious Changeling Icon. Sometime ago this icon transferred unnoticed and unannounced from Sam Whitt to its current proud owner.
Its my precious and hands off all other contenders.

    2. So how does the army icon ranking work? Is it the best top 3 results with that army or the best 'current' [blue highlighted events that occurred in the past 365 days] top 3 results with that army? Thanks.

    3. Best three results with that army in the past 365 days Russell. The blue results are your best three results regardless of army.

    5. Just remember the story about the Hare and the Tortoise you young whipper snappers.
And, trying to find out how its calculated will not help you - being the Changeling it keeps err changing.
The calculations are rigged (I mean constructed) so it stays with me whatever happens.

  2. Nice work on the 5th place Jeff. Looked quite tight at the top of the table. Personally, the lack of variety in army types at the event makes it look distinctly unappealing though

  3. Heh, must be depressing with that rain cloud that follows you around all the time, all those half empty cups in your way, and not a silver lining in sight. People play what they like playing?

  4. Lots of WoC and Lizards, yes, but only one Demon list! (Very different from the NZTC one, too). Only armies missing were beasts/WE/DE?

    1. Skaven....and I wouldn't be crowing that the DoC list was new and exciting. We say a lot of Epidemis + lots of BoN here in Welly in 2013. I think Sam C hit a high of 13 at one point

    2. But well done on the podium Nic....I can see you, Sam and Tom fighting over the DoC all year

    3. Wasn't saying it was new and exciting, just different from my NZTC list (which was a lazerchicken and friends, daemonette core... also some beasts, but what are you going to do?)

Really, Epi only worked once all tourney. Most of the time, he just distracted people while everything in the list that wasn't marked nurgle, killed things. (MVP = Roll of 8 on winds of magic)
