Drums Are Beating in Bretonnia

And the sound they are making is that we can expect a new book in November this year.

This is a departure from what was the previously thought to be release schedule but plausible given recent comments by the Design Studio. At the recent Games Day in Memphis, Jeremy Vetock indicated that this month's Lizard release had had the book finished for over a year. So the Bret book may be sitting on the shelf ready to slot into November - the last Fantasy slot of the year.

I'm guessing we should expect some Monstrous Cavalry - Demigryph or Lion riders - and some type of Monster. I hope they keep the current Lance formation as it offers something different. A armoured foot knight - possibly skirmish - wouldn't be out of the question.

  2. It's a well known fact that the more they delay a Dwarf book, the more interest there will be from dwarf players in existing GW IP.

The player profile sitting on someone's desk at GW HQ clearly states that Dwarf players always like a good moan and therefore giving them what they "want" (bear calv and a new book with no magic phase and core grudge throwers) is the exact opposite of what they actually want.

Why waste time and resources on new book/models when Dwarf players are "happily" (cautious use of the word) bringing their collections up to the 10k pts mark with "another" unit of thunderers...I even recall Tane at CTA happily mentioning the purchase of his "4th" Cannon...I guess so he can WYSIWYG the various rune combos.

+ they are happily biding their time knowing that the 3rd Hobbit movie will based around the battle of the 5 armies where lots of little Tims, Sallys, and Johns will all want a shiny new dwarf army.

    OP: yay Brets!

    1. Hey there Mr "I've got Three Cannons and a Helblaster", you don't get to mock anyone else's war machine collection.

  4. This is terrible news. I have an unpainted army and now only months to prepare it before all my pathetic excuses are exposed as mere procrastination.

  6. Good news, hope trebuchets get nerfed to hades and cost 400 pts in the new book.

    1. Smells like someone got Hurt bad. Don't you think you're over reacting.

  7. I am gutted. I love the current Bret book, not interested in power level and all that nonsense. 1. I know how the army works and 2. Think it fits current fluff. Don't want them to suddenly discover monsters willing to be ridden just round the corner a la demigryphs.
