Vermintide - One Day Fantasy Event

Neil Williamson and the Warlords are running a one day Fantasy event in November. It will be held at KPC Church Hall in Khandallah.

Neil has asked me to post up the Players Pack.

Hopefully the event will get a good turnout.

  2. Fat chance Sam...I'm not writing your list for you this time round. Never making that mistake again! :P

I'm very much looking forward to this event.

  4. Hopefully I'll be able to come, because the Territorial reserves intake day is on the 17th (But I got school exams during that so I might go to the reserves in Feb of 2013)

But I would really like to go. My twin would come as well. (He's starting CD's!)

    3. If there's one thing I have learnt about playing Skaven it's that it really doesn't matter what I bring, people will complain it's overpowered/broken. Despite what my firmly mid table finishes have to say about that ;)

I think it's the good players who use Skaven who have generated the bad rep for the rest of us, yes people like Pete finish top tier with Skaven but the same people finish top table playing with other armies too (see Pete using Ogre's). I truly think Warhammer as it is now is as balanced as it has ever been, the best generals usually finish at the top, it's never all one race at the top but it's usually the same names!

Skaven are very flexible, you can build them to counter almost any army but the trick (as with any army) is building one that can take on all comers, done right (and with a spot of luck) you can get the big wins you need to finish top table. Armies like Dwarfs can build a list that can take on all comers but where Skaven do it by taking more risky shit than can go bad very quick, Dwarfs do it by minimising risk and they rarely take a big loss but they can't win big enough to ever challenge for the top.

    4. Your right about how balanced the game is and how the same people who use skaven are generally at the top with any other armies they use. I can't contest that. To be honest, I don't really mind what someone takes in their skaven army, just the brass orb . . . OH HOW I HATE the brass orb.

But, I just like complaining because I'm a grumpy grumpy Dwarf!
