Where Are The PEGs?

Reading a few of the news sites it appears that next week's releases - as shadowed by White Dwarf - is back to 40k.

Given that, it appears End Times:Khaine was a one-week wonder.

This really surprises me. I would have thought that there would have been at least some models supporting the release of what looks like a landmark book. However apart from the two book versions, the only other release is the cards.

For a long time there had been rumoured a new model representing the physical manifestation of Khaine. But this doesn't appear to have eventuated.

Maybe we'll get something new in a few weeks but that split release schedule would be at odds with what we have seen in the past 12 months.

As it stands we have a release with no new models.

  1. No one cares about elves. Bane of the hobby. The game would be better without them. They are like dwarves who've had all the fun sucked out of them.

    1. Two words you don't normally see in the same sentence

    2. "[A]ll the fun sucked out of them" doesn't specify an initial level of fun. It may be (is) a very low initial level, reduced to non-existence by PEGishness.

  2. Maybe they are just busy writing up the recruitment interview conversation between Malekith and Alith Anar for the Army of the Eternity King...

    1. Having just read the available units in the different armies in the Khaine book... one VERY notable special character seems to be missing from them all (and it's not Alith Anar... he's cossied up with Malekith surprisingly).

Rather intriguing to see the units that are solely in either the Aestyrion or the Eternity King lists and not allowed in the other.

  3. Bearing in mind of course that GW are a "Model Making Company that makes Models for Collectors" *coughs* Maybe the new book comes with cardboard cut-outs? The latest finecast you can put together in your own home?
